About the job

The individual in this position performs a variety of professional and administrative duties to facilitate systems integrity, implementation of systems and software, provide support to the end user and administration of various server and software assets.

What you will be doing

At any given time this individual may be required to perform any and/or all of the following tasks individually or in a team setting:

Server Administration

  • Monitor Windows servers and takes corrective action 24 hours a day 7 days a week
  • Web server administration (IIS)
  • Monitor HYPER-V services

Application Support

  • O365 Administration
  • A10 Load Balancers
  • Manage Barracuda Essentials
  • Maintain monitoring software (SolarWinds, WhatsUp)
  • Use Active Directory to manage user information, create new user accounts, and maintain the domain structure
  • Provide primary end user email support

Licensing Administration

  • Monitor software licensing and purchases
  • Validate licensing compliance through electronic and physical audits

Security Administration

  • Conducts I.T. orientation training for New Employees (as needed)
  • Be aware of corporate security at all times
  • Cisco routing and switching experience a plus

General Administration

  • Support Microsoft SQL Enterprise AG groups
  • Load OS, Microsoft updates, virus protection, and other applicable software as needed
  • Use ticketing system to track progress and status of projects and end user support
  • Maintain machine integrity by periodically checking event logs, disk space, virus protection updates, and Microsoft updates
  • Create and maintain user organization
  • Create user accounts with login scripts and shared folder access
  • Monitor backup sessions throughout the day
  • Complete work orders thoroughly and in a timely manner


  • Configure properties for the server farm
  • Publish applications
  • Maintain licensing
  • Monitor client sessions

Skills and experience we would like to see

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or 5 years general IT experience and minimum two years’ experience in Microsoft SQL Administration and Active Directory. Needs to have and be able to demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and move at a fast pace, yet ensuring the highest levels of quality and accuracy.

  • Ability to test, document, and implement applications
  • Logical thinking and troubleshooting skills for computer systems
  • Desire and ability to travel internationally
  • Experience in messaging platforms
  • Functional knowledge of network and server operations
  • Experience with server infrastructure maintenance
  • Good prioritization skills
  • The ability to work with the end user community
  • In-depth knowledge of policies and procedures
  • Desire and ability to learn

Additional Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Functional knowledge of network marketing
  • Able to provide after-hours support when required
  • Self-starter as well as a team-player
  • Positive and outgoing personality
  • Oracle experience a plus
  • Linux Server Administration a plus
  • Experience with HPE 3PAR systems
